Welcome to the Department of Management of the University of Memphis. The mission of our department is to offer a rigorous and relevant management curriculum, strengthened by research and community outreach. Our management degree programs and courses serve the workforce needs of the Mid-South region and beyond. Through our contributions to the undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, and International MBA programs, we prepare students for both introductory and advanced careers in a globally competitive and technology-driven marketplace. Through our Ph.D. program we prepare students for teaching, research, and professional careers. At the same time we contribute to the intellectual development of our discipline through rigorous research and scholarly activity and to the community and region’s development through our consulting, training, and outreach activities. Our faculty is both highly involved and intellectually capable with a wide array of educational backgrounds. Faculty hold Ph.D.s from such esteemed universities as Ohio State, Illinois, Case-Western Reserve, Michigan State, Georgia State, Albany, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Massachusetts, South Carolina, VPI, Denver, and LSU.
