Dr. Julia Heath, Professor and Chair, conducts research on women?s labor supply, the economics of the family, and economic education. She also examines the relationship between social and market institutions and how it affects the labor/leisure choices of the family. She received her BA from Bluffton College, Bluffton, Ohio, in 1978, and her Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1986. She is the recipient of The Thomas W. Briggs Teaching Excellence Award in 2000, the 1999 Teaching Excellence Fellowship and in 1998 was named Senior Fellow for Redefining Progress. |
